Acceptable Use Policy
Effective May 7, 2026
Pulpit is built to serve churches and the people they shepherd. This Acceptable Use Policy spells out the conduct we will not tolerate on the platform.
You will not use Pulpit to:
- Send unsolicited bulk messages (“spam”) over SMS, email, or voice. TCPA and CAN-SPAM apply.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk any person.
- Distribute child sexual abuse material, or any content depicting violence against vulnerable people.
- Impersonate another person or organization.
- Engage in fraud — including donation laundering, tax-deduction fraud, or identity theft.
- Circumvent technical access controls (rate limits, MFA, RLS policies, cap-pause logic).
- Use Pulpit to serve any unlawful purpose under federal, state, or local law in your jurisdiction.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the service.
- Re-sell, sublicense, or transfer your access without written permission.
Voice agents & the 988 protocol
Voice agent prompts are subject to additional restrictions:
- You may not configure agents to give counseling or therapeutic advice. Pastoral care is the lane.
- You may not disable or evade the 988 crisis-detection system. The four detection layers are required for every tenant.
- You may not configure voice clones for the pastoral check-in or prayer/care line agents. These lines must use the default voice for safety.
- You may not record callers in two-party consent states without explicit verbal consent at call start.
Reporting violations
Email lasean@kaldrbusiness.com if you believe another tenant or user is violating this policy. Pulpit Trust & Safety reviews every report within 24 hours.
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in temporary suspension, account termination, refund forfeit, or legal action. Crisis- related violations (disabling 988 routing, false-pastor impersonation in counseling contexts) result in immediate termination.
